I’ve had this bible since September 2012 (yes the edition with smaller text) and i am absolutely thoroughly satisfied. I am the reader at my church with alot of jumping and praising god with bible in hand, and it withstood about 7 or 8 months of abuse! It is now my dedicated study bible, i recommend this to anyone looking for a true study, note taking bile. Thanks Lcbp..!
Yes, this Bible is worthy of all acclaim. Only for a short period have I owned it; yet, it already displays notes in the margins.
It is perfect for when I teach a dear friend of mine; a lady who enthusiastically wants to learn the Word of God. My notations are right there, and they are legible—there is so much space to record without having to scribble. And the Bible print is an easy to read font size.
It is of excellent quality, probably the best on the market, as testified to in words, photos and video.
My husband and I were elated when the Bible finally was set by our door, being our order originally did not process. The saga to this story is, I had attempted to order, but it did not compute. I found this out when I finally phoned and a staff member verified there was no record of transaction.
The first woman who assisted me told me to go online and order. I could tell she did not want to take the time to aid me. I kindly told her I had done this and it would not process, which I had already relayed to her.
She did not offer any words of graciousness nor concern for my plight. She simply passed me onto another.
Praise God, the second lady was full of the joy of the Holy Spirit and thoughtfully completed my order with assurance that it would be mailed soon.
I do applaud the fact this organization stands solidly on the Bible and not on Calvinism and ecumenicalism. You feel confident when you contribute.
Additionally, I value the fact they are involved in this reaping ministry of sowing the inerrant Word of God.

I just was wondering if this 400 series note taker bible has red letters. (word of Christ) Can someone please tell me?
Hi Oscar. The Note Taker’s is black-letter. LCBP only have 2 red-letter editions that I’m aware of:
The Wide Margin CCC: http://www.localchurchbiblepublishers.com/2011/07/mid-size-text-wide-margin-center-column-reference-red-letter/
And the Thompson Chain Reference: http://www.localchurchbiblepublishers.com/2013/05/mid-size-thompson-chain-365-series/
I ordered a Executive Series 400 E3B (Three Piece) Black for my wife. I was SO impressed by the inside and outside of the Bible the Church ordered two more for Church Leaders and Another Church member ordered one and we are working on another order already! They are the most well put together Bibles I have ever seen, Top Quality that will last you a life time! If you Love to Study and Take notes….you’ll LOVE this Bible! Very well worth DOUBLE the money! – Not to mention…every Word…is God’s PURE WORD!!!! You can’t beat the combo
Thanks To All how had a part in putting this Master Piece in our hands! God Bless You!
I bought a 400 basic series few months ago. I like the new print size which is very readable. The quality of the paper, leather, and binding are excellent. However, there is a “con” on the Bible I received – the ribbon markers are too short. This Bible’s length is 9.9″, but the 2 ribbon markers on my Bible are 11.5″ and 12″ (they are not even in the same length). The 11.5″ one is really hard to use for bookmarking since it goes into the pages easily.
I just received the 400E3T. Itsurely is beautifully put together. The binding, leather cover are superb. The font is good. I certainly would prefer a little larger, say the size of your large print which is ideal. However, I do understand that adding to 2015 pages of text might be a bit much. Perhaps eliminating the concordance to accomodate might be a thought here. Another suggestion, slightly more space between lines would make reading easier. Now, on to the paper. It is simply too shiny. The well lit page makes reading tedious because of the glare. The paper in “the Common Mans Reference Bible” would be a welcome improvement. I would happily pay more for the same bible with these improvements. Having said all this, the bible just as it is is quite a good product I definitely recommend it. Thank you for allowing me to comment. On CHRIST the solid rock I stand Paul
23 years ago I bought a Wide Margin Cambridge KJV at a Church Book Store in Virginia Beach, VA. I paid nearly $100 for it back in 1990. I’ve been an avid Bible collector over the years, not quite a hoarder yet, lol, but I can’t help myself…I love the Word! Anyway, the Cambridge Bible has been with me through almost a quarter of a century now. All those years I’ve kept it in a calf-skin leather case and it still appears practically new, except for all the notes I’ve put in the margins… Now, as age would have it (1 Samuel 4:15 Now Eli was ninety and eight years old; and his eyes were dim, that he could not see), well, not quite that bad but the small print makes it tough for me to read the Cambridge. Now, several weeks ago after searching for another Cambridge Wide Margin with larger print I found the LCBP site. I read all the comments I could find and watched a few videos about the Bibles (especially the one presenting the binding process, very impressed!). After hours of deliberation I finally decided on the 400E1B. It arrived 3 or 4 days later, but that wasn’t the only surprise…included free of charge were half a dozen or so tracts/pamphlets (Thank You!) and the Bible was well packed to prevent any damage in transit. Beautiful workmanship, superior cover (I couldn’t wait to roll the covers like I saw on the video!). The print is not LARGE, but the font and size are perfect for me…AND…the size of the margins are perfect! It feels great in my hands, I love it! It’s a little on the thick side, but that’s fine…AND…it only cost $57 (plus S&H and the love offering). Now, my only problem is, I can’t decide on the method of marking I want to use in it…I even went out and bought a hardbound KJV at one of the local Bible Book Stores to practice with….lol…. God Bless, and thank you for your ministry and fine workmanship…Thanks
I just ordered my 400E1B Bible about an hour ago. I’ve noticed from some of the comments on here that people are getting them in just a day or so. I can’t wait to get mine! I’m so excited! I’ll write a review when I get mine.
God Bless.
I’ve written an extensive review of the Note Taker’s with almost 40 high-res photos. You can see the review here:
http://biblebuyingguide.com/lcbp-note-takers-bible-review/
Hi Randy.
Thanks for all the pictures you posted. They helped me make my decision to order one for myself. I just ordered it today. I can’t wait to get it! Hope it doesn’t take very long because I’m really excited!
Hi Donna. I’m glad you liked the pictures. I’ve been writing in mine like crazy. I’m using Pigma Micron markers. I can’t wait to see your review.
I just received my note takers bible today and I will say that it is the best bible I have ever owned. Not only is the quality excellent but I love the fact that it has the translators message to the reader! It is really awesome to have the commentary from the very people who risked their lives to present God’s word to the people. What a blessing! I am very very pleased with this bible. I can’t wait to start taking notes and create chain references while I study.
Donna
Thanks so much for taking the time to review this beautiful bible. You have made it easy for making an educated choice concerning the purchase of this product. I already order one, and I’m looking forward to it!
I’ve had this Bible for several months now, and I love it!! The quality is the best I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned quite a few Bibles. I go to church four times a week, and I carry this Bible with me every service. The space for taking notes is the reason I chose this Bible, and I am not at all disappointed. I have a lot of trouble with my eyes, but I have no problem reading this font. I have told a lot of people how pleased I am, and I have only good things to say about this Bible.
I got the Executive series, item # 400E1B.
Perfect size. Perfect font size. Perfect everything! The YouTube video that influenced me was: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnZnL7feRp4
Absolutely over the top in every category! Get it–you won’t be sorry!
I’ve had my 400 series for a week now. Love it. This is the type of Bible I have been looking for. Why did it take me so long to find you guys. If you like to write notes in your Bible like I do, this is the one to have. The print is crisp, plenty of room for notes, and you will be hard pressed to find better quality. I will recommend this Bible and Local Church Bible Publishers to everywhere I get the opportunity.
Oh no, #400E3B is out of stock! (Actually all but the red one are out of stock at this moment. Proves just how nice these Bibles must be.
)
* Does anyone know if this latest printing uses the 11.5 font size or is it still the 11?
Thank you and Shalom. Beth
Hi Beth. They now have the 11.5 font.
I just bought the red NoteTaker’s Bible. I am always astonished at the high quality of these Bibles. I’m amazed at how rich the red one looks and feels!
I just received my note-taker’s Bible and absolutely love it! It arrived just 2 business days after I ordered it and it’s just beautiful. From cover to every printed word. I love that almost half the page is blank for note taking, references, quotes, personal thoughts, etc. My last Bible was so filled with notes between lines, in the margins and in every available space, and it’s binding was taped and glued together one too many times. And I’ve only had it since 12/01. My husband heard of this Bible and suggested I find it. So glad to find this treasure from a faithful, devoted group of fellow believers. I look forward to filling this Bible with new notes as I continue to grow and mature in my faith. I hope my filled Bibles will be passed on to my family when I’m gone as a testimony to a life changed by the diligent study of these Precious Words. Thank You!
[...] leather cover, in King James, a 11 point font, and a price too good to be true, I recommend the Note Taker’s Bible from Local Church Bible [...]
I want to order this bible but wonder if it’s to big to bring to church? I’d really like to take notes during sermons. I live In the uk so really want to get the right one. Your views would be appreciated, Thanks.
Hi Natasha. Some consider this a large Bible. It’s about the size of a study Bible, like a Thompson, or a Concord Wide-Margin (the Concord is wider). The current edition is updated with larger text, but I’ve reviewed the original here:
http://biblebuyingguide.com/local-church-bible-publishers-note-takers-bible-kjv/
This beautiful bible is a notetaker’s dream! It is a gorgeous ironed calfskin that is remarkably supple and smooth. It is sewn around the leather lined edges for extra durability. There are extra wide margins for note taking. The bible is about the size of your typical “study bible” as the pages are slightly thicker and the wider margins take up space. However, it is not cumbersome or heavy. I can’t wait to start my note taking!
Recieved my Note Taker Bible “400e3b” today. This is a beautiful Bible, inside and out, plenty of room for notes on every page. This is going to keep me busy for a long time.I can’t wait to get started. The text is very readable, the paper is wonderful and does not bleed through.I like the extra pages of blank paper for notes ect.The ironed calf skin in three pieces is the best I have ever seen. The leather is so soft and pliable, yet thick and strong.Even the inside liner is leather..No doubt the best quality Bible I have ever owned. The spines give it just the right “OLD WORLD” look. And best of all,the Bible lies flat when opened, from the first page to the last.I recommend this Bible to anybody looking to have thier own study notes incorporated into thier Bible..Thanks LOCAL CHURCH PUBLISHERS for a wonderful design.
I just got my notetakers for christmas and I love it. It’s quality is worth at least $100. I cant wait to dig into the word god. So excited.
Just ordered mine yesterday morning. Now I’m impatiently waiting and staring in the direction of the mailbox…. I love GODS word. I’ll post again when it gets here. May GOD continue to bless your missions and your families.
Just got my bible at 1:30 today, absolutely beautiful, the softest bible I’ve ever held. Unfortunately UPS dropped the box on its corner and dented the pages and left a crease through the edges, seems to be the name of the game with UPS these days. thanks LCBP and god bless.
Just a heads up that although the website does not say it, the current available Notetakers is the new printing with slightly larger and darker font. This awesome Bible just became better.
The Mid Size Note Takers – Executive Series, black 1 piece with black thread,Item #400E1B is, simply put, the most beautiful Bible I’ve held in my hands. The stunning craftsmanship deserves nothing less than the eloquence of the KJV. A Bible of this quality would easily cost >$100.00 MORE anywhere else. I clearly owe these fine people a donation!
Definitely a five-star, breath-taking product. Service was prompt, as well. Thank you!
Does the note takers Bible come in red letter and NKJV?
Only KJV. Not in red letter.
I haven’t read through all of the comments, so sorry if I am repeating. But, is this a Red Letter bible as well?
This is not a red letter edition Bible.
I spoke with Rick Teremi who designs these bibles, what a great guy. The note takers exec series had a couple minor flaws but not enough to be sent back. I love the translators preface and in the epistles from Paul they have indentations as to where they were written and who delivered them, that’s a plus. Gonna get the 300 series.
Hello Blake, I just received an email from lcbp. They say that the notetakers bible is an 11 point font. I was led to believe that it was a 9 point. This makes a big difference. Also, that they would be printing this bible in 11.5 in afew months. I will probably wait for its release. I thank you for all your helpful advice……Paul
Very good. Appreciate your sharing Paul. I pray that you will be blessed in your study of the word of God. Bless the Lord that he is a rewarder of those who dilligently seek Him.
Did LCBP say about when the “revised” Note Takers would be available? I hear that it’s supposed to have darker print but I am also glad to learn that it will have larger print too! That will be great!!!
Hello Chris, the email that lcbp sent to me about a week ago was that the new printing would take place in 3-4 monthes. I await its arrival sometime around Christmas I guess……….Paul
Paul, thanks for the info on the updated Note Takers. I hope to be first in line for this one and post a review as soon as possible. The Note Takers is one of my all-time favorite Bibles.
Randy
I just wanted to mention a review I wrote of this Bible a few years ago. I’ve included several hi-res photos. Now that it’s been updated I’ll have to get a new one to review.
http://biblebuyingguide.com/local-church-bible-publishers-note-takers-bible-kjv/
Do I understand that the update with the larger and darker font is now available? Hope so!
Hi Ron. The current Note-takers is the updated version.
Randy,
Have you seen it yet?
Hi Blake. I haven’t seen it. I asked about this a few weeks ago and they sent me an email saying it’s already been updated. I’m considering getting one to review. I talked about the original in my book about using a wide-margin Bible: http://www.amazon.com/How-Choose-Wide-Margin-Bible-ebook/dp/B00AFJXUQC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1354750358&sr=8-1&keywords=how+to+choose+and+use+a+wide+margin+bible
Getting the new one would allow me to update the book.
Hello Randy Brown or Blake Ratliff or anyone who has the new and improved notetakers bible. How large is the font? I have the large print wide margin by lcbp. I am hoping that the new notetakers print is comparable to the large print wide margin. Also, how is the paper quality and thickness in regards to bleedthrough? Any information would be wonderful. Thank you in advance and a very MERRY CHRISTMAS to all. Paul
Hi Paul. The new font is 11.5 point. It’s a different type of font than before. I’m not sure what the font is, but it’s bolder than the original. I haven’t seen it yet, but a bolder font would be better for marking. Mine is the older edition. The paper is thicker than most Bibles. There is very little bleed-through. I’m sure the paper is the same.
Merry Christmas!
Three of us preachers bought our pastor one of these in black after he found this local bible publishers. He bought one of our preachers when he answered the call to preach and another preacher bought one soon after and my pastors pa n law who has been pastoring for 52 years bought one. The one we gave our pastor I told him thats to replace that cambridge he has. Our pastor presented me with one at my ordination when I answered the call to pastor a few monthes ago. All together out of our church we have purchased 5 of these note taker bibles. I had to be different and got a red one cause it reminds me of the blood of Christ when I look at it and of all my bibles including my 400th kj it is the only bible I use in the pulpit.. I absolutly love it.. Thank you for your work in all your ministries. I will continue ordering as long as yall keep printing bibles and books..
I just ordered my note takers, and I’m waiting with anticipation. I also want to take notes and mark my bible with quality pens/pencils/highlighters. Does anyone at Church or anyone who has this Bible recommend a Bible Marking Kit? I would hate to ruin my new Bible with poor quality writing utensils that wrinkle the pages, bleed through, or smear. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
God Bless and thank you Local Church Bible Publishers.
If you are wanting to use a pen then many recommend a very fine Pigma Micron. I have found that this pen works well in terms of ink not bleeding through. However it is dark and easy to see from other side of the page. I prefer using a mechanical pencil. I use a 0.9mm with HB lead. 0.7MM is good to. If you choose the finer 0.5mm lead then I would go with a softer B lead so you to not have to push very hard to get nice dark writing and risk damaging the page. Not too soft or too cheap a lead or you will get smearing. Pencil will not blead through and you can erase your mistakes. I have to erase often due to mistakes and that works great with Pentel Eraser. I do not recommend a pencil any cheaper than the Pental Sharp. You want the lead to hold firm in the pencil and not wobble as it does in cheaper pencils.
As for highlighters I have used both “Bible Dry” and “Hi Glider Gel”. Neither of these bleed through. However I find that the Hi Glider Gel works much better in that the high lighting is clearer and no need to go over multiple times just to see the highlight. Easier on the paper. You can get Hi Glider Gel in muliple colors for color coding. Try on line your local christian book store or on line like Christianbook.com. Amazon.com has Pentel pencils and Hi Glider Gel as well. A tiny metal ruler can be handy as well to keep notes level and orderly. And it will help give clean underlining. Hope this helps.
Wow, thank you so much Blake! That’s exactly what i needed to know. Thank you for taking the time to share that information.
God Bless my friend.
I use “Sakura micron pigma ink pens” for my notetakers bible.Get one with a fine tip on it like size 01.There are no smears or bleeding with these pens and it is special archival ink that doesn’t fade over time.
Wow! This exceeded my expectations and is everything I wanted in a Bible. I got the Scarlet One-Piece Executive. So beautiful. Leather cover is thicker than the others I have but I actually prefer that, gives the pages more support and I think it gives it more longevity. I wanted the Black executive but it was out of stock, but now I’m glad I got the Red one. Not many people have a scarlet Bible, and it’s very nice looking. Lots of space for notes! Text is not bold but it’s very easy to read, I believe its 9 point. I will be doing a video review of this on YouTube soon for anyone interested. Thanks so much to the Local Church Staff for all my Bibles. They are tremendous blessings. God continue to bless you!
Thank you for your comment. I really want this bible, preferably in the 3 piece black and tan, or maybe in the red. However, both are presently out of stock. I already have lcbp wide margin large print and I love it. It is my main read, having 12 point font and room for notes. I am finding that I could use more room for notes. One big concern though is that the print is only a 9 point and not especially dark. My eyes are not good. But, I imagine that I will order this bible anyway and see. Thanks so much……….Paul
Paul, Try emailing Local Church Bible Publishers and asking them when they are printing again. I understand they are printing a larger print version of the notetakers that may be perfect for you. Maybe they can tell you what bindings they will use.
Thank you Blake. I will do exactly that. A larger print, maybe 11 or 12 is just what I need. Again, thanks for your help ……………Paul
I got this Bible specifically for taking notes in Bible College and I’d have to say I’m very impressed with it already. The binding is firm and the covers are soft as always. Can’t beat that ironed calfskin:)
I purchased this Bible and had it shipped to North Carolina all together it cost me about $70 out of pocket with standard shipping. I’d have to say though that it was well worth it.
I got this Bible as a high school gift and will be using it for college. I havent had the chance to use it yet but I have the feeling that it will be a great Bible. I recomend it to anyone who is or will be going to Bible college!
I’ve owned the executive series edition of this note taker’s Bible for almost a year, and it has become my favorite daily Bible. It’s truly a great bargain, and my fondness for it continues to grow. It’s soft cover, large pages, quality binding, and abundant room for notes is just what I want. Highly recommended. I’ve never been clear on why they print red letter editions of the Bible, are they for the hard of hearing?
Hello all, I wanted to say that I heard about this Bible a few years ago before they produced it. I wanted one ever since, so I made it a point when I was able to purchase one. I take alot of notes and place my outlines right on the page, and have done for years. So this Bible I thought would be perfect. I ordered it and in three business days I got it and immediately looked it over. It is the perfect size and the quality is as good if not a little better than my Cambridge Goat skin wide margin I had. This Bible is for the God called preacher who uses his Bible in a serious manner. I admit it isn’t for the lazy student of the Word, but the real student will enjoy it for the rest of their lives, because this Bible will last that long. I am thankful to the Lord Jesus Christ for this Publisher, they are my favorite and I decided my only source for now on of Bibles for my local Church and for gifts to loved ones. Thank you Local Church Publishers for being obediant to the call of Christ.
Dear Pastor Dunahugh, thank you for your review I am a “lazy” student of the Word but you have given such a good review of this Bible that I want one now even if I know I will not use it as diligently as you and other “scholars” of the Word. I watched a Youtube review of this Bible and was very impressed with the quality. And the fact that they are a donation type business makes me want one even more to answer the call of the Lord like that and step out on faith and publish a high quality Bible for cost gives me hope for the Church and for the Christian business world. I know it takes a lot of work to publish a book of this quality and there must be a lot of love for the Word of God for them to be able to produce such a fine product. Thank you for your review I will ask my wife for one on my next birthday and who knows maybe I will become a diligent student of the Word like yourself. Also want to thank you for using the KJV Bible I have come to believe it is the ONLY english translation that is ligament to use. All other translations are “false gospels” and “another Jesus” is presented in them and pastors such as yourself are becoming more and more rare these days as we are witnessing “the great falling away” take place in our churches worldwide.
The postage to the UK cost more than this bible did (it’s a BIG bible) but it was still amazing value and I am delighted with it. The quality is outstanding. I’m glad it’s not red letter, which I’ve never seen the point of. If anyone reading this is considering buying the Notetakers bible I can recommend it unreservedly. If LCBP were to consider producing this same bible in a smaller size that would be great too.
The only thing that is keeping me from getting this bible is the fact that it is not red letter.
Well it is all God’s Word…not just in the New Testament..
I switched to black letter edition years ago and i love this bible. Awesome for notes and if it had been red letter i would not have purchased it. thanks for a great bible.
The previous comments have already provided a good idea of what you will get if ordering this Bible. I merely want to express my complete satisfaction with the product. I went to several bookstores and perused the Bibles on the shelves and found nothing that satisfied my eyes. After stumbling upon a few YouTube videos describing the excellent quality of the LCBP Bible I decided I had found the answer. All things considered I don’t think you’re liking to find a better production, especially for the price. I am completely satisfied and will be ordering from LCPB again when the need arises. Definitely worth the extra Love Offering.
I would be interested to see how many people were brought to localchurchbiblepublishers.com due to youtube. I know I was!
Me too! I loved watching all the videos, especially this one with the young man receiving his red-letter bible from LCBP’s, he was so delighted. I ordered three!

Mary Jo, this is the video that finally persuaded me to purchase from LCBP, and I am SO glad I did:

Great quality bible, recommend LCBP over any other publisher. The one I got is many times the better quality than my Cambridge which costs 3 times more. Looking for excuses to buy more
Very minor correction to the dimensions in the description, the length is 9.75 not 9.9
I doubt that would make any difference but just so you know.
You’re welcome to buy me one! Question… how about the page thickness? Any bleed-through?
This is an absolutely beautiful bible. The text is very readable and it is great having ample space for notes. The overall quality is superior. Well worth the extra cost of shipping to Australia.
PLEASE MAKE THIS INTO A RED LETTER EDITION, PLEASE…WILL YOU BE MAKING ANY OTHER STYLES IN RED LETTER?
I had concerns over getting this. I wanted something other than black because I have a sea of black bibles. But would I like the tan color or end up wishing I got black? I also heard that the text was not bold which was also a concern. So I will start with my impression of the cover. The black portion of the calfskin is incredibly nice being and soft with a plush texture. However moving to the tan portion on the spine the texture is significantly different. Has more of a processed protective coating feel to it. It does not feel as natural as the black portion. It reminds me of the leather on the inside of the cover of a goatskin Allan Bible. Just completely smooth and it crinkles when flexed. However is does seem durable. While I do wish the leather were just the same as the black but died deep brown it still looks very nice. And the tan stitching is a pleasant surprise. When the Bible is open the tan stitching reminds me of gold gilding which gives a border or frame to the pages. This is a beautiful Bible.
Now moving to the text and layout. When I first saw the text I was a little disappointed because of its modern narrower font and not being dark and bold. All of my KJBs are older traditional bold font styles and I am used to that. However I reserved judgment and just deciding to spend a good deal of time reading it. After doing this my concerns are gone. That is because in reality it is very clean and easy to read. Familiarity with this text or font seems improve its appeal. Now moving to the layout of the Note takers, simply superb! The gutter on mine is just the right size and the text is in the perfect position for reading when laying flat on a desk. Just as much note taking area as possible without compromising the readability of the text. And to have the book names and chapters in the top outside corners of the pages makes it much easier to find things than other wide margin Bibles. Highly recommended. Here are some pics:
https://picasaweb.google.com/111373296851775941553/LCBPTanBlackNotetakers#
Great pictures, thanks. I wanted to order the same one, but they are out of stock. Could someone let me know when they will be back in stock please. Thank you.
LCBP does not typically respond to the comments as they state in their FAQ. But if you email them directly they will respond. They have always been helpful for me. I am glad that the pictures helped. I would recommended the Treasure of Scriptural Knowledge (TSK) book (or on Kindle) to go with this Bible. That way you will have cross references to compare Scripture with Scripture. TSK is more thorough than any center column references I have seen in any Bible.
I received my Bible this week. With teaching and working full time I’ve not had the time I would have liked to begin working with it, although I have been doing my daily reading using this excellent Bible. I could echo many sentiments praising the workmanship. The ink is not the sharp black and the pages are not as white as my Cambridge but neither are they a disappointment. The paper is very smooth as another reviewer mentioned. I’m hoping my Sakura pigma pen will work well on this paper but have not yet tried it. The leather is absolutely gorgeous – I ordered the executive edition – a real pleasure to hold and handle. The Bible lays open without breaking in. The most important aspect of course is the layout, I have desired a Bible designed as this one is – with the note taking all on the outside – for years and was very excited to find just such a design! Thanks to those with the vision to publish the Authorized text in such an outstanding format. God bless. I recommend it highly!
I can tell very little difference between this Bible and my old Cambridge when useing the pigma pens. In my opinion the “bleed through” is about the same.
My copy is currently out for delivery. Looking forward to seeing it after work today. Based on these comments it may just be the Bible I have been waiting for all these years.
Thanks I’ve started using the Pigma pen with it and it is fine. I also decided to print out a lined backing sheet to place under the page while writing this works really well also and keeps the lines straight and true. I LOVE this BIBLE!!
My second Bible I ordered from Local Church Bible Publishers. The font size is easy to read (bigger than I thought it would be), plenty of room to write notes, wonderful binding, awesome leather, and overall an excellent value. It’s really great to find such a quality Bible at a great price. Since the Bible is at cost, it is worth donating to this ministry. A Bible of this quality can easily go for $150 plus.
Thanks a bunch from Canada.
I’m an IB Pastor in Australia. I like the look of these Bibles. But I love the local church printing ministry idea. Praise God. Could someone please confirm the spelling in the text. Do these Bibles use American or British spelling. Thanks, Bro Bobby.
Brother Bobby, I don’t have the Note-takers Mid-size with me as I’m out of town but I do have the LCBP Compact Classic New Testament with me. From what I can see, it uses British spelling. As an example, Psalm 15 has “neighbour” and “honoureth”.
Thanks mate. Much appreciated. I’ll be buying one of these as soon as possible and recommending them to my church folk.
Bro Bobby
Bobby, sorry I haven’t double-checked the note-takers for you; I totally forgot about it. I am right now reading a bit of it and was reminded to respond to your question. Ezekial 1:7 has “colour”, so I am going to assume this bible uses the British spelling, as well.
The Mid-sized Note-takers bible is absolutely amazing! I have purchased three bibles from LCBP in the past two months. The format of this bible is genius.
I received my 1 piece calfskin today and I am amazed to say the least. The quality of materials and workmanship is outstanding. I looked at all the KJV bibles at our local christian store and the most expensive one in genuine leather pales in comparison to this. I was a bit worried thinking the text would be small since it wasn’t large print, however the font and size are crisp and clear. The paper is smoother then any other bible paper I have put my hands on. I will be buying another bible from L.C.B.P. when the funds permit, but don’t hesitate to get one of these. I know you won’t be disappointed. I am still sniffing the cover and flopping the pages just in awe. Truly an accurate inspired word of the living God. What a present to get on Christmas Eve. Long Live The King!!
I am considering purchasing this notetaker’s bible due to the fact that I really like the layout; however, I wish that it came in a different translation such as NIV or ESV. Is it possible to get this bible in a different translation or does anyone have any ideas for me?
Kody, If you’re still following, the reason they don’t publish the NIV
bible is because it’s inaccurate, leaves out words and scripture verses, and changes words, which change meanings. You lose the original intent of the scripture. The newer translations are based on fewer manuscripts that are not in agreement with each other. The effect of that is you will miss the deeper truths. Do some research online and find out for yourself. I’ve read the NASB for 37 years. I’m changing back to the Authorized KJV. Blessings, Jon
I purchased a Note Taker Bible. This is a great Bible that I will cherish for years to come. I highly recommend LCBP for your Bible needs.
I agree with all of the comments. What wonderful formatting, very readable front, nice thick and opaque paper. Love the red executive cover. LCBP, you have done us a great service, many thanks.
Wonderful bible. I bought the top grain cowhide. Could not be more pleased. Plenty of room for notes, good legible type size in a single column format. Almost 200 pages of concordance! Wow! High quality at a great price. Better than anything you can get in a book store.
This Bible is awesome! It’s everything I wanted. I have nothing bad to say about it. The only thing that I could add to what everyone who commented has already said is this;
Each book in this Bible begins on a different page… meaning that if one book ends at he top or middle of a page the rest of that page is blank and the next book starts on the next page. This may not be a big deal to some people but to me it’s important.
It’s been a long time since I’ve bought anything that has made me this happy.
I love this Bible! The best one I have ever bought. It has clear large print for easy reading and has plenty of space for notes. The calfskin leather is beautifully soft and beats having bonded leather any day!I recommend this Bible to any one. Thanks Local Church Bible Publishers.
I had been looking at different note taking Bibles for a while when I ran across this edition. It intrigued me mainly because I had never seen this style layout before, especially combined with such stunning workmanship! I bought Item # 400E3T for myself and the Red version for my wife. This Bible has turned into one of my favorite Bibles.
The paper is perfect for marking up. The ink does not bleed through the paper and the text on the reverse side is not a distraction either when reading. The quality of the workmanship and binding of this Bible is extraordinary. However, there are two things that I feel could be better, which are minor in comparison to the overall quality.
The first issue involves the maps included in this edition. They simply look like they were printed on a home ink-jet printer. They are not clear and crisp or very useful. This is a very minor problem for some of you who never use maps, but I like to use them when teaching. The included maps just aren’t adequate.
The second issue will most likely never be noticed by some and deals with the gilt. The gilt on both our Bibles rubbed off when it got moist. Mine was ruined by a few rain droplets that randomly fell on the gilt. Wiping the water away or dabbing at it removes the gilt. My wife’s was worse but that’s because she spilled water on it. Just keep in mind that the gilt on these Bibles may wear off very easily.
I own a lot of Bibles and I can honestly say that LCBP Bibles are the cream of the crop in terms of quality and workmanship. I would not hesitate to purchase more of their Bibles in the future and I recommend their Bibles to those looking for a nice high quality Bible.
The only other company that I could compare them too in terms of quality and price would be the Trinitarian Bible Society (TBS). I would say the quality is the same, with the gilt being better on the TBS Bibles and the leather covers better on LCBP Bibles. Overall, I like the variety of styles LCBP offers. You can get pocket Bibles or large print Bibles and note taking Bibles in a variety of configurations. LCBP strays away from the traditional layouts to make a much more functional Bible while TBS stays with the traditional reading/reference layouts.
Don’t hesitate to get this Note Takers Bible; you won’t regret it!
I found out about this Bible from the YouTube video entitled “The Best KJV Bibles.”
I think this already outstanding Bible could be made better only by the addition of Red Letter.
Thank you.
My family gave this to me for Father’s Day. I am a pastor, so I like being able to put my Sunday School notes and Sermon Outlines in the margin. I fell in love with this Bible right away. I enjoy reading it, studying from it, and marking it. A great quality Bible – good binding, good paper. I recommend it highly!
I’ve had mine for a few weeks now, and I absolutely love it. It’s top-notch all the way around. The print is large and clear, the paper as opaque as Bible paper gets these days, and the leather and binding are nearly R.L. Allan quality, at a fraction of the price. I only wish every translation were available in this wonderful layout.
I love this Bible. It is easily one of the best Bibles ever produced.
