In 1993 I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. It wasn’t long before the Holy Spirit began to stir up a strong desire in my heart to study the word of God. After two years of bouncing from one translation to another, in frustration I asked this question, “Where is God’s perfect word for the English speaking people?” I wanted to know that I had a Bible in my hands that contained every pure and perfect word that God intended for me to have. God said that His word would be “…a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” – Psalm 119:105. It was at that point that I began Looking For The Lamp that the Lord had promised me. With an honest heart, I asked the Lord to show me where His perfect word was for the English speaking people, and that is exactly what He did. What the Lord revealed to me has been condensed and placed within the pages of this booklet as a guide to help others who may also be struggling with this issue.

Psalm 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible, more than twice the size of any other Psalm.
