The New Testament church is marked by what it believes and what it does. When these essential principles are diluted in even the slightest sense, it is a step toward apostasy and irrelevance.

Right Ecclessiology will prevent the church from sliding into apostasy. Baptist principles are not secondary. They are primary for maintaining orthodoxy and obedience.

Baptist Distinctives are those Biblical doctrines that when taught and obeyed in our churches mark us as distinct from any other Christian sect.

Psalm 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible, more than twice the size of any other Psalm. It is a great treasury of wisdom and knowledge concerning the power, the praise, and the glory of God’s Word. All but three of its 176 verses speak of God’s Word. A brief example reveals that it is His word that God uses to light our way.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. (vs. 105)

How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! (vs. 103)

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. (vs. 130)

For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. (vs. 89)

Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. (vs. 2)

Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. (vs. 165)

Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word. (vs. 114)

Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD. (vs. 1)

Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. (vs. 18)

With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. (vs. 10)

Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy word. (vs. 41)

Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word. (vs. 161)

“From a careful study of the parabolic and prophetic teachings of Christ, I am convinced that He designed to unfold to the understanding of His disciples the whole scheme of His redemption, from its inception onward through all its progressive stages and its mysteries…”

This in-depth study of great expositions into many of the parables of Christ from those illustrating the wiles and machinations of the devil to those illustrating Christ seeking, finding and redeeming a world is filled with helpful refreshing outlooks on this portion of the Scriptures. Be amazed at the thoughts procured from this study of parables on heaven, prayer and more.
